The people behind the work
Across pressroom, prepress, bindery, mail, and customer service, long-tenured employees carry knowledge from job to job.
SINCE 1963
The company's history is a sequence of deliberate production bets: from brokerage to web offset, from sheetfed automation to roll-fed inkjet, with finishing and direct mail brought under the same roof.
1963
James A. DeBlasio Sr. and Maria open JD Graphic from an office on Chicago's historic Printer's Row.
1970s–76
The business makes the leap from broker to manufacturer. In 1976, the company relocates to its current Elk Grove Village home.
By 2012
Short-run work joins the established web-offset and sheetfed operation, giving customers a faster path for smaller, more targeted jobs.
By 2019
JD grows into a full-service commercial printer with in-house finishing—the ability to route each job to the process that fits it best.
2019–20
JD replaces an older web press with North America's first RMGT 9 Series configuration of its kind—combining roll economics with eight-color sheetfed quality.
2022
Targeted work begins moving from offset to production inkjet. Direct mail comes in-house, opening variable-data and short-run publishing markets.
2024
Jobs that once required seven days can turn in 24 hours. JD reports 110 million mail pieces produced in 2023 and expands further into books and publishing.

History verified against JD Graphic's company profile and published equipment announcements from RMGT/Graphco and SCREEN Americas.
PASSING GENERATIONS
It began with relationships, grew into a true production floor, and continues through each generation of the family. Different decades. The same floor, family name, and accountability.

Family-owned · team-built
Long-tenured people. Shared standards.
Many employees have built careers here—learning the presses, protecting the color, solving problems before they reach the customer, and passing that knowledge to the next person.
AI + PRINT
JD can add an AI-assisted workflow around your print program—helping your team move from idea to approved production with less friction. Every final decision remains human-reviewed before ink meets paper.

Our roll-to-sheet sheetfed perfector cut paper costs about 35% — over $1M a year at our volume.
FULL CAPABILITY
Our production network extends beyond our floor. Through strategic manufacturing partnerships, we offer preferred pricing on capabilities that would cost us — and you — more to run in-house.

—— TRADE PRINTING
Other commercial print shops send us their overflow — jobs too big, too complex, or too tight on deadline for their own floor. If the professionals trust us with their clients' work, you're in good hands.
